Samantha Holland
My name is Samantha Holland, and I began my transition into child care eight years ago, in February 2007 as an Assistant Director. Although my background is not Education or Child Care, I cannot picture myself doing anything else. To be fortunate enough to come to work everyday and affect someone’s life in a positive way has been one of the biggest blessings in my life.<br /> <br /> My background is Business Management/Restaurant Management in which I held positions from cashier to Area Manager. After having my first child, I knew I could no longer live out of a suitcase or commit to an eighty hour work week like I had done for so many years. Fortunately, I was able to network with previous co-workers who decided to change careers and were working in child care. After speaking with them, I felt that I should consider a new career. It was a very difficult transition for me going from serving food to serving families, but I’ve never felt so complete.
