  • Angela Ford

    DVM

Dr. Angela Ford Amann joined Peachtree Animal Hospital in September 2002. Dr. Ford was born in Memphis, Tenn. and raised in Rome, Ga where she attended Darlington High School. She went on to complete her baccalaureate degree in biology with a minor in Animal Science at the University of Georgia in 1996 and graduated from the University of Georgia's College of Veterinary Medicine in 2000. After graduating from veterinary school, Dr. Ford completed an extensive 15 month internship in small animal medicine and surgery at the Hollywood Animal Hospital in south Florida. Outside of work she enjoys spending time with friends and family, exercising, gardening, and traveling. Her favorite vacation spots are the Florida Keys and Winter Park, Colorado.Dr. Ford resides in Decatur with her husband Jason, their twins, Reagan and McLeod and their youngest son, Fletcher. They have 3 dogs. Gristle and Wrigley are wire-hair miniature Dachsunds and Angus is a DobermanPincher. My why: I knew from a very young age that I wanted to be a veterinarian. I have always had a deep love and respect for animals. I am a nurturer and caregiver. Making others feel better,(especially those that can't talk or do for them-self) brings me happiness. I am a problem solver. Science was always my favorite subject in school. The way the body works fascinates me. Putting all of these things together, being a Veterinarian is a natural fit for me.

  • Azalia Boyd

    DVM

Dr. Azalia Boyd joined VCA Peachtree Animal hospital after a rigorous several years in emergency veterinary medicine. She attended Tuskegee University receiving her Bachelor of Science degree in 2004, followed by Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 2008. Realizing her true love for the south, Dr. Boyd returned to Atlanta to continue practice. Outside of work, Dr. Boyd enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling, mentoring youth, camping/hiking and billiards. Her favorite hiking trails are out in Denali Park, Alaska!. My why..From a very young age, I was told of my nurturing personality and care for the welfare of the world(all species included). Every day, as a veterinarian, I have the opportunity to touch a very small part of the world and make a difference. The importance of my position extends outside of the clinic setting, but affects the lives and happiness of people, pets, and the individual relationships with each other.
